Common questions
Is this the official TDLR license search?
No. We search the public license files the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation publishes for mold assessment and remediation. For the official record, use TDLR's license search.
What's the difference between an assessment and a remediation license?
Assessment licenses (consultants, technicians and assessment companies) cover inspecting, sampling and writing the removal plan. Remediation licenses (contractors, workers and remediation companies) cover removing the mold to that plan. Texas law bars the same company from doing both on one job.
Why can't I find a company?
It may be licensed under a different legal name, the license may have lapsed, or it may not hold a Texas mold license at all. Ask the company for its TDLR license number and search that.
